On July 5, 2011 CJ went to live at Krooked River Ranch Outfitters' Stamford ranch where he'll have hundreds of acres to roam with other longhorn steers. We hope he lives a long, happy life with the Krooked River staff and guests.
Update Oct. 2011, Tim Shelton at Krooked River reported that CJ is doing great, is still approachable, and still pretty spoiled. That makes us pretty happy.
These are members of our longhorn family that have moved on to live happy cow lives at other ranches.
They will always have a very special place in our hearts.

Caroline was born at our place in Haskell on March 17,2011. She was beautiful and feminine from the day she was born and Jackie was the best mom. Though we'd love to keep every calf, we just don't have enough land and the drought made that even more of a factor. We found a home for Caroline with the Hacker family in Muenster, Texas where she'll be loved, spoiled, and have several cow and horse friends to play with. We took her to her new life on October 23, 2011 and while we'll miss her very much, we're happy that she has such a terrific new family to love her.
